Abstract
|

|
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis is one of the most intractable degenerative neurologic disease. The sufferers of Amvotrophic lateral sclerosis in Korea show no endemicity.
The age at onset of Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis patients in Korea is about loyears earlier than that of the reports from other countries.
Male suffers from Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis about 1. 5 times as many as female does. Amytrophic lateral sclerotic type (58%) is the largiest group of the three types and Progressive bulbar palsy type (24%) is the next and Progressive spinal muscular atrophy type (18%) is the last.
Paralysis of the bulbar musculature indicates grave prognostic sign of the patients who suffer from Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.
